Pennsylvania STATE University Old Main Bell Tower

The Delaware Valley Association of Structural Engineers recently awarded a 2022 Excellence in Structural Engineering Award to the Pennsylvania State University Old Main Bell Tower in University Park, Pennsylvania. WJE led the design-build restoration of the bell tower. Learn more about our work.

Christina Suncatcher Sculpture

The Delaware Valley Association of Structural Engineers recently awarded a 2022 Excellence in Structural Engineering Award to the Christina Suncatcher Sculpture at the DuPont Environmental Education Center in Wilmington, Delaware. WJE provided design development consulting services.

FULTON COUNTY COURTHOUSE 

The Atlanta Urban Design Commission recently awarded the Lewis R. Slaton (Fulton County) Courthouse in Atlanta, Georgia, a 2022 Award of Excellence for Historic Preservation. This prestigious award recognizes physical projects, programs, and people located in Atlanta that have improved the city’s physical character. WJE served as a part of a design-build team that evaluated and repaired the terra cotta clad facade, low- and steep-sloped roofing, and ornamental features.

Old-Merchants National Bank and Trust Building

The rehabilitation of Battle Creek, Michigan’s Old-Merchants National Bank and Trust Building into a mixed-use apartment and retail space recently received a Governor's Award from the State Historic Preservation Office and the State Historic Preservation Review Board. WJE provided material testing, assessment, and consulting services on the restoration of the limestone facade.

cOLONY Square

The Urban Land Institute (ULI) Atlanta Committee on the Environment recently awarded the Colony Square mixed-use development in Atlanta, Georgia, its Excellence in Adaptive Reuse and Repositioning Award. ULI's awards recognize outstanding real estate development projects or initiatives that exemplify ULI's mission to shape the future of cities for transformative impact. Serving as the facade and waterproofing consultant, WJE provided professional design-assist services related to the exterior building envelope.
