About
Safety Commitment
Nothing in our business is more important than the safety of our people. Working safely isn't something that we have to do. It's simply the way we do things.
Everyone is responsible for safety.
We believe that a safety program cannot be implemented effectively by any one person or select group of individuals. An accident-free work environment can only be accomplished through a dedicated and concerted effort by each and every individual. At WJE, each person understands his or her value to the company and the cost of accidents in monetary, physical, and emotional terms. No employee will ever be second-guessed for any action taken in the name of working safely.

Our commitment to actions aligned with our core values, particularly Consummate Professionalism and Shared Destiny, requires us to work safely. Nothing is more important.

We're commited to zero injuries.
Safety excellence is fundamental to our culture. Part of the definition of a good job—a job well done—is one that is done safely. We routinely perform work involving:
- Fall protection systems
- Aerial and scissor lifts
- Suspended and supported scaffolding
- Industrial rope access
- Crane-suspended platforms
- Confined spaces
- Personal protective equipment
We minimize the risks associated with this type of work the same way we approach all of our projects: through a thorough understanding of the requirements of each issue, a dedication to careful review and re-review as necessary, and the empowerment of each employee to “do what’s right” regardless of impact on cost or schedule. In alignment with that commitment, WJE employs a dedicated team of full-time, in-house safety professionals that is always available to support and provide counsel to our staff and our clients.
