Lawrence Captures Distinguished Alumni Award
Senior Principal Lee Lawrence was inducted into the University of Texas at Austin Maseeh Department of Civil, Architectural and Environmental Engineering Academy of Distinguished Alumni.
The Academy of Distinguished Alumni was established to recognize the professional achievements and contributions of Cockrell School of Engineering graduates. Each active member holds a Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or PhD from Maseeh and is outstanding in his or her field, a leader of community affairs, and worthy of emulation.
Lee’s work has included investigating and designing repairs for deterioration, distress, or failure of structures and a wide variety of construction materials. His assignments have involved new and existing structures, including parking garages, single- and multi-story buildings, residential structures, masonry cladding systems, piers, slabs-on-grade, floor covering systems, municipal utility structures and pipelines, concrete industrial tanks, and pavements. Lee joined WJE in 1999, a year after receiving his master of science degree in civil engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
