Ramova Theatre and Lawson House Win Driehaus Awards
Landmarks Illinois has awarded two WJE projects with 2024 Richard H. Driehaus Awards.
Landmarks Illinois awarded the Ramova Theatre in Chicago with a 2024 Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Preservation Award in the Adaptive Use category. We served as the facade and interior restoration consultant for the rehabilitation and adaptive reuse of the 1,800-person live music venue and destination space, featuring a craft brewery, taproom, and grill.
Landmarks Illinois awarded the historic Lawson House in Chicago with the Richard H. Driehaus Legacy Award and the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Preservation Award in the Rehabilitation category. We provided peer review services for the building enclosure during the rehabilitation of the building, a twenty-four-story Art Deco skyscraper that now houses more than four hundred apartment units for low-income residents.
