Chin Receives ASTM Committee Awards
Vice President and Senior Principal Ian Chin has been honored with two awards recognizing his service and commitment to ASTM International Committee C15 on Manufactured Masonry Units. He has received the committee's Honorary Membership Award, which recognizes outstanding service and devotion to the committee's objectives. He also received the Award of Appreciation for his contributions and dedication to the development of C1935-2023, Standard Practice for Installation Methods for Adhered Veneer Systems Using Thin Brick Units Made from Clay or Shale.
ASTM C15 prepares standards relating to manufactured masonry units of inorganic materials, including fired clay and shale, concrete, sand-lime, and coatings, as well as standards on their use in site-built and prefabricated masonry elements.
Ian has been an ASTM member since April 1986.
