In recent years, we have witnessed a series of devastating fires around the world, in part caused by a combination of exterior wall components and materials that facilitated combustion. Concerns in this area and the corresponding evolution of building codes and test standards to address these concerns date back nearly sixty years.
Daniel Lemieux and Nicholas Ozog will provide a brief overview of this history, then pivot to an update of the situation today relative to risk assessment of your existing building stock. They also will share why appropriately developed fire protection strategies are not simply skin deep.
In this one-hour webinar, you will learn:
- The regulatory and industry response to the recent tragedies;
- Steps to further mitigate risk in your properties, while maintaining energy efficiency standards;
- About the drivers and considerations to take into account in the selection of exterior wall systems; and,
- How to deliver a fully integrated, high-performance building envelope that preserves and protects the integrity of a structure and the safety of its occupants.
* This webinar recording is made available for educational purposes. While we hope you will watch and learn something useful, please note that viewers aren't eligible for AIA credit.
