Experience
Michael Bresler specializes in the investigation of buildings with various masonry, window, and waterproofing-related problems. Most of his projects have involved deterioration, distress, failure, or improper installation or design of building envelope components. Mr. Bresler has experience in the application of ASTM testing methods for the nondestructive investigation of masonry walls, windows, curtain walls, and roof systems to determine the cause of water leakage. Many of his projects have included repair design and construction document development, bidding period services, and construction observation services. He also has experience with insurance claim investigations and litigation consulting involving a wide variety of building envelope components.
Mr. Bresler is trained in difficult access techniques using controlled descent and rope methods to access facades and structures where typical methods are impractical. He has used these techniques to install movement and temperature data gathering devices to monitor the performance of large structures.
