WJE Performs Services for Ping Tom Memorial Park Mural
After the Coalition for a Better Chinese American Community—a not-for-profit organization in Chicago’s Chinatown neighborhood—completed a mural in Ping Tom Memorial Park, plans were made to paint another mural on an existing concrete wall directly opposite the first. However, the concrete wall designated for the new mural was spalled due to exposure of the reinforcing bars to moisture. WJE evaluated the spalled concrete and prepared drawings to repair the spalled concrete and minimize the wall's exposure to moisture.
On September 7, the second mural “Between the Mountains and the Water” was unveiled as part of Ping Tom Memorial Park’s 20th anniversary celebration. Congratulations to the Chicago staff who worked on this stunning mural project.
