A building owner was told by a potential buyer's expert that the existing sprinkler system was improperly designed/installed. WJE recommended a full-scale fire test to support the hypothesis that the existing sprinkler system could provide the required protection with only minor system modifications, resulting in substantial cost savings.
As a result, we helped save the client approximately $1 million dollars by not having to install a brand new sprinkler system and demonstrated to the buyer that the modified system would perform properly.
