Experience
Since joining WJE in 2006, John Cocca has participated in a wide range of investigations, repair designs, litigation support services, instrumentation and monitoring projects and testing of buildings, bridges, tunnels, adjacent construction sites, stadiums, and a lighthouse. These structures have consisted of reinforced and prestressed concrete, masonry, steel, wood, underpinning, glass, stone, roofing, and waterproofing materials.
While at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Mr. Cocca performed an analytical research project on snow loads that produced a thesis titled “Mathematical Simulation of 50-Year Drift Ratios,” which has been used for code modifications in ASCE-7.
