John A. Cornelius

Experience

Since joining WJE in 2019, Jac Cornelius has contributed to numerous projects with a focus on building enclosure evaluations, water leakage investigations, design development, and construction observation. His focused experience and areas of expertise are in various types of roofing and waterproofing systems used in contemporary and historic buildings, including built-up and single-ply membranes as well as fluid-applied systems for plaza applications. Mr. Cornelius also specializes in the design and performance of below-grade waterproofing systems, including HDPE, bentonite, and fluid-applied membranes in both blindside and backfilled applications.

Prior to joining WJE, Mr. Cornelius worked for a subcontractor specializing in the design and installation of roofing and waterproofing systems on high-profile projects in Chicago.
