Donald G. Goosman

Experience

Donald Goosman joined WJE in 2015 and has nearly twenty years of experience in fire protection engineering, project management, and technical leadership. Throughout his career, Mr. Goosman has participated in numerous design and consulting projects, providing a high level of client satisfaction. His expertise includes preparing design drawings and technical specifications for fire alarm systems, fire sprinkler systems, fire pumps, foam suppression systems, and clean agent systems; preparing life safety drawings; and performing fire protection and life safety building surveys, assessments, and due diligence reviews. He also conducts building and fire code compliance drawing reviews and construction inspections; prepares equivalencies and alternative fire protection strategies; and performs third-party testing for fire sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, and smoke control systems. He has experience in various vertical markets, including high-rise buildings, hotels, universities, large corporate campuses, industrial, gaming, government and military facilities, and hangars.

Prior to joining WJE, Mr. Goosman held several positions at a large international fire protection engineering firm. In his most recent position as the operations manager of their Chicago office, he led a group of more than twenty fire protection engineers, security consultants, and administrative staff while actively managing and providing technical solutions on several large projects.
